Like the sound of the crow, flying two years ago…
“Your Love” is a one-shot music video I directed for the Austrian band Suave. We filmed it overnight at Schloss Kisslegg in Germany, working with an incredible crew and cast of 30 people. Due to tight time and budget constraints, we had just one night to pull it off. We managed to get seven full takes, and ended up going with take five.
It was a challenging shoot, but also one of the most rewarding. Blending historical space with performance in a single continuous take, really pushed us creatively – and I’m proud of what we pulled off in just one night.
The idea was to follow the singer (now known as Nnella) as she leads the camera through the different rooms of the castle, using the original furniture and interiors as part of the visual storytelling. To create a smooth, almost dreamlike flow, we sped up the music during filming and then slowed it down in post-production this helped give the camera movement a soft, floating feel while keeping everything in sync.
Through this visual interpretation, we explore how love, though deeply fulfilling, can also bring moments of self-doubt and heartbreak. It is only by confronting these truths, that we can begin to heal.
